Sunday School: April 20/08

The cupcakes represented Elijah's altar on Carmel: covered with blue icing (water) with "flames" on top.

Sunday School: April 13/08

Wendy and Charlene have begun teaching the children from the SCUBA series, starting with "Believe in God". The children re-enacted Elijah vs. the prophets of Baal using Megablocks and a stuffed cat (and hidden matches and flammable material in the care of a responsible adult).

Every time the theme is said "Believe in God", the children make a scubadiver's OK sign. Even the youngest member this Sunday figured that out and made the gesture as best he could.

Prayer and Praise: April 6/08

The Transparencies (Robin, Darren and Richard) led us in some contemporary praise music, before we moved into a time of sharing and prayer. We concluded the evening with some requests from the hymn book sung accappella.

Rearranging the Kids' Rooms: April 5/08

While his grandmother set up the new Sunday School room, he humoured me by playing with my toys, such as the Hungry Dogs game. Then he carefully put it all back in the box.


On to other toys, such as this spiral track which the Zamboni climbed and descended many, many times.
